Application & Uses
Use RXSOL Flexo Reducer - a propietory industry approved formulation for an excellent flexographic reducer, thinner with rapid solvent evaporation, good solvency, and improved ink flow during printing
- Flexible packaging printing - For viscosity adjustment of compatible inks used on plastic films and flexible packaging materials.
- Packaging and label printing - For selected solvent-based inks used in packaging, labels, and related printed materials.
- Ink preparation and viscosity control - For controlled dilution of compatible inks before and during printing.
Dosage & Directions for Use
- Check compatibility: Confirm that the thinner is suitable for the ink resin system and substrate. Test a small sample before production use.
- Measure initial viscosity: Determine the ink viscosity using the appropriate viscometer or flow cup specified by the ink manufacturer.
- Add gradually: Introduce FLEXO THINNER in small increments while continuously stirring the ink.
- Adjust viscosity: Continue adding thinner until the required printing viscosity is achieved.
- Verify print performance: Check drying time, ink transfer, adhesion, print definition, and resistance under actual operating conditions.
Recommendation from Industry experts: Use the ink manufacturer's recommended dosage as the starting point. No universal dilution ratio can be specified without knowing the ink formulation and printing conditions.
Excessive thinning may reduce color strength, adhesion, and print performance.
