Best way to Decontaminate Tank Odor :
Liquid Phase Circulation Cleaning
- 0.5 - 3% solution of RXSOL Tank Eliminator Plus in water depending on contamination.
Vapor Phase Treatment
- Spray or fogging solution at 1–2% concentration.
Heavy Contamination
- Up to 5% solution may be required.
Typical Tank Cleaning
- 3-5 liters per m³ of sludge or contaminated liquid.
NOTE: Dosage entirely depends on the contamination of odor in the tanks. Dosage can be increased or decreased.

1. Hydrocarbon Vapor Encapsulation
Special surfactants and vapor capture agents encapsulate aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene and butadiene, reducing vapor concentrations.
2. Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenging
Chemical scavengers react with H₂S gas forming stable non-volatile compounds that remain dissolved in the liquid phase.
Typical H₂S scavenger reactions include:
H₂S + scavenger → stable sulfide compound
This prevents H₂S from being released into the atmosphere.
3. Pyrophoric Iron Stabilization
Pyrophoric iron sulfide deposits are oxidized or stabilized to prevent spontaneous ignition during tank entry.
4. Sludge Dispersal
Surfactants disperse hydrocarbon sludge allowing circulation and removal.
